Synopsis

A puppy dog gets impressed with the new Jetta and starts talking to its owner, acting with lots of personality and good humor. The live action movie made by Prodigo was ready  –  we had to make the doggie free it’s voice. For us animating those surreal missions are truly fun.

After several tests we concluded that just to animating the snout wasn’t enough - to make it have more realistic and expressive acting, the whole dog’s face was digitally reworked. The model was beyond synching with the dubbing: We made complete facial muscles that were able to give the whole witty dialogue attitude.

When it comes to replacing a part of something filmed, integration needs to be perfect. So we had to be meticulous during the model development, focusing mainly in the rigging processes, tracking, rendering and concluding composition. The final result is a captivating character that makes the movie strikingly funny.
