FUSSESP "Malu Moletom"
Malu Moletom was created by Lew’LaraTBWA to tell a story that encouraged people to contribute to a clothing donation drive organized by the state of São Paulo.
We wanted this film to feel like a lavishly illustrated children’s book in motion. So we chose to work with 3D animation but aiming for a completely 2D look, rich with painterly textures. The rendering process was less concerned with the actual lighting of the 3D environment and more with the pictorial result, so some shadows had to be painted onto the texture maps instead of processed in the renders.
The film is being shown in movie theaters in Brazil and can also be watched online.
